Policy Development & Approval
Every new University policy or major revision to an existing University policy must undergo a formal review and approval process. Units are encouraged to contact the Office of Policy and Planning at the earliest stage when a policy is being drafted or significantly revised. We can provide templates or current policy versions for redlining, and assist in identifying stakeholders or other relevant University policies that should be considered in the drafting process. We can also assist with drafting, if that is helpful.
Minor revisions to existing policies may be reviewed and approved within the responsible division.
Once approved, all approved University policies must be submitted to Office of Planning and Policy, which is responsible for posting approved policies to the University policy website.
