Minor Revisions
Minor revisions to existing policies may be reviewed and approved within the responsible division.
Minor revisions include clarifications, non-substantive changes, corrections of drafting errors (including typos), and updates to reflect, for example, new position titles, new contact information, or new website addresses.
In all cases – new policies, major revisions, and minor revisions – the Responsible Official must approve the final draft of the policy and the policy approval and effective dates must be updated. Reference to the minor revisions should be included in the Policy Background section. Before starting policy revisions on existing and published policies, please contact Martha Pittaway to obtain the MS Word version of the policy in order to create a redlined revised version.
All approved policies must be submitted to the Office of Planning and Policy, which is responsible for posting approved policies to the University policy website.
